This was contributed by Phil Chesterman who writes: "There must have been a last-minute change as I remember Jack Herman played. Note No 8 for the French team, May, was actually an Old Gaytonian, living in Paris. Also No 8 for the OGRFC, Ted Blundell, also lived in Paris prior to this, and played for Le Sporting Club de Neuilly against the Old Gayts in 1955.
